PoE passthrough for flexible power supply with minimal installation effort
The LANCOM OX-6400 can be operated both via Power over Ethernet (PoE) according to IEEE 802.3at and via PoE according to IEEE 802.3bt. When connected to a switch with PoE according to IEEE 802.3bt. the access point is also able to supply another PoE-capable device such as an IP camera via PoE Passthrough. This means that the devices can be placed completely independently of existing power outlets – minimizing the need for complex cabling in outdoor areas and saving installation costs at the same time.
